About Filter Sources

A filter source is the place where the filter resides, such as a PortMaster, configuration file, or a ChoiceNet file. Filters can imported from one source and exported into another. Before you make changes to an existing filter, you must read it from a source. To apply changes to a filter it must be saved to the source before the changes can take effect.
