Copying a Filter

You copy a filter if you have a filter on one source and want the same filter on another source. This eliminates the need to create another filter with the same filter rules.

To copy a filter, follow these steps:

1. If you haven't done so, read filters from a source.
   

2. From the Filters menu, select "Copy Filters..."
   
   The Copy Filters menu appears.
   
   
3. From the Source pulldown list, select a PortMaster product on which a filter resides.
   
4. From the Filters list, select one or more filters you want to copy.
   
5. From the Destination list, select one or more destinations to where you want the new filters to reside.
   
   The Copy button is enabled.
   
   
6. Click Copy.
