Copying Filter Rules

You copy filter rules when you want to use the same rules in another filter.

To copy filter rules to one or more filters, follow these steps:

1. If you haven't done so, read filters from a source.
   

2. From the Source pulldown list, select a PortMaster product on which a filter resides.
   
3. From the Filter pulldown list, select the filter from which you want to copy rules.
   
4. From the Rule Type pulldown list, select a rule type.
   
5. From the rule list, select one or more filter rules that you want to copy.
   
6. From the Edit menu, select "Copy."
   
7. From the Source list, select on which the the filter that you want to copy a rule to resides.
   
8. From the Filter list, select the filter on which you want to copy rules.
   
9. From the Edit menu, select "Paste."
   
10. Repeat steps 6 through 8 as necessary.
