IPX Rules

The following settings set define the filtering rules for IPX packets:

Rule Setting

Select rule action

Permit allows a packet that matches the filter to pass through the interface.

Deny stops a packet that matches the filter from passing through the interface.

Source Network

Specifies the comparison with the source IPX network number contained in the packet.

Destination Network

Specifies the comparison with destination IPX network number contained in the packet.

Source Socket

Specifies that the source IPX socket number contained in the packet must be compared with the IPX socket number specified in the filter. A mode of comparison is indicated by equal to (=), greater than (<), or smaller than (>).

Destination Socket

Specifies that the destination IPX socket number contained in the packet muyst be compared with the IPX socket number specified in the filter. A mode of comparison is indicated by equal to (=), greater than (<), or smaller than (>).

Source Host

Specifies the comparison with the source IPX node address contained in the packet.

Destination Host

Specifies the comparison with the destination IPX node address contained in the packet.
