Rule Types

You can choose from the following types of rules:

Filter Rule	Description
IP Rules	A rule that filters IP packets according to their source and destination IP addresses. IP packet filters are attached to users, locations, Ethernet interfaces, or network hardwired ports as either input or output filters. IP Rules Settings
IPX Rules	Internet Packet Exchange. An internet protocol defined by Novell, Inc. IPX packet filters are attached to users, locations, Ethernet interfaces, or network hardwired ports as either input or output filters. IPX Rules Settings
SAP Rules	Service Advertising Protocol. An IPX protocol used over routers and servers that informs network clients of available network services and resources. SAP packets can be filtered only on output. SAP Rules Settings
