How to upgrade your T1 card to 1.08 8/3/99

1. Telnet to your controller and verify the version of controller
firmware you are currently running with the "VER" command.
You should use controller firmware version 2.42 or above for this
upgrade to work properly. If you do not have version 2.42 or
higher you should upgrade your controller before you upgrade your
T1 card, as backward compatability has not been tested.

2. FTP the file, r96t108.hxt, from our FTP site to the Commplete
controller's B:\ drive. Make sure there is drive space available
for the file with the dir command. If there is no space available,
you may have to delete some log files in the B:\mmm\mr.log directory.
Use the ftp interface to delete multiple files, as the controller
      does not recognize wildcards (*).

3. Telnet to the controller, go to the B:\ drive and compare the file
size to that on our FTP site.

4. Use the T1STATUS command to see what version you currently are
using, and to see your T1 settings. The first number is your
T1 firmware version, and the second is your bootcode version.
      For example, if T1status reads:
      Version: 1.07f/1.06
1.07f is the T1 firmware, and 1.06 is the T1 bootcode.

5. If your T1 code/boot code is older than 1.07c/1.06, you have to use
a switch to tell the controller that it also needs to program new
bootcode in the T1 card as well as new firmware. The command to
upgrade the T1 with new bootcode and firmware is "update -boot
r96t108.hxt 1b" (1b is the location of T1 card, this could also
be 1c,5b,5c,9b,9c,13b,or 13c). If you are at the last revision of T1
code, which is 1.07f/1.06, then you do not need to update boot code,
since it is already current. For example, "update r96t108.hxt 1b"
would update only the T1 firmware, since the 1.06 boot code is
current. NOTE: Only update one t1 card at a time.

6. After update has started, wait about 2 minutes, then type
"update", and you should see a response of "programmed", if all went
well. Now type "T1STATUS 1b" (or 1c,5b,or etc), and you will see
something that looks like this: "Firmware Version: 1.08/1.06".

7. Reset the T1 card to put it back into operation with the "RS"
command. Example: "rs 1b". The T1 card should reset and go back
      Online .
