The version of Flashpro included in the ISIrecovery.zip file has a special feature that will let the software to load the firmware in the modems of the ISI card without handshake from the modem.

The Flashpro software is a DOS program and it will run only in DOS mode . This utility will not work from the Windows Prompt.

So in order to run the program the hard drive must have a DOS partition (FAT 16 or FAT32 ) if the partition is FAT 32 then the system must boot with a Windows 98 Bootable diskette.

The software must run from the hard drive where the card is installed

Here are the steps to flash the ports.
1. Unzip the file .
2. Copy the firmware for the modems .HEX in the same directory where you copied the files.
3. Run the program FLASHPRO.EXE with the following switch " -k " ( without the quotes).
 Example : c:\temp\flashpro -k.
5. The flashpro screen will come up with a menu. Select the Configure option and select under the Active Port the "Multi Tech ISI608/ISI4608/PCI"
6. Select the baud speed 19200
7. Under the device type select " MODEM FILE".
8. Do not worry about the I/O and IRQ for the card, the software will find the card automatically
9. Under the " ISI PORT NUMBER " select the first Port.
10 Press ESC to go back to the main menu and SELECT FILE TO PROGRAM. Select the right file for the modem.
11. Program FIRMWARE.
12 Repeat the same process from the step 9 just selecting the next port in the card selecting the right firmware file

In some instances you may need to reboot the system after the modem is flashed so you can send AT commands to the modems again. After you flashed the modems , try to sent AT commands to the modem using a terminal emulation or the option COMMUNICATE TO PORT from flashpro.
