If the firmware upgrade fails, or it does not show the login page again, wait an additional 5 minutes. Power off and on the MTR and web to the MTR to check the version. If the version does not show the latest, then the upgrade was not successful. Try to perform the firmware upgrade again by repeating all the steps. 1) Save the firmware binary file to a directory on your workstation 2) Using the workstation browser, enter the IP address of the MTR (i.e. http://192.168.2.1). 3) Login as admin and enter the admin password. 4) Click "Administration" tab on left side menu bar 5) Click "Save/Restore" 6) Click "Save Configuration to File" to save a backup file. A popup window will appear 7) Select "Save File" and click "OK" button 8) Now click "Firmware Upgrade" tab on left side menu 9) Click the Browse button and select the latest version of BIN file, rcell-mtr-upgrade_3.1.4.bin. 10) Click the "Start Upgrade" button. 11) Wait for the unit to upgrade and reboot automatically. 12) Again, browse to the IP address and verify the Main or Home page indicates the correct version, 3.1.4. **************************************************** * Engineering Release Notes for Customer * **************************************************** Changes made since release 3.0.13: ------------------------------------------------------------ MTR SW 3.1.4 - February 23rd, 2015 ------------------------------------------------------------ NOTES: * Bug Fix * GLHF ------------------------------------------------------------ IPsec Tunnels: * Fixed issue introduced in 3.1.1 where once advanced options were enabled, only advanced options could be used. ------------------------------------------------------------ MTR SW 3.1.3 - February 18th, 2015 ------------------------------------------------------------ NOTES: * Bug Fix * GLHF ------------------------------------------------------------ Remote Management: * Fixed issue introduced in 3.1.0 that broke the way the MDM client collected radio information. Originally the call determined if the SIM was ready for GSM, and if the function didn't exist, identified the radio as CDMA * Added support for carrier backoff requirements * Added a page to view detailed radio information (Cellular -> Radio Status) * Fixed issue on Wake Up On Call page where adding a Caller ID cleared any other changes that were not yet submitted Firewall: * Fixed UI issue introduced in 3.0.13 that affected the deletion of firewall rules * Added option for NAT Loopback which allows LAN devices to access other LAN devices by their public forwarded WAN address IPsec Tunnels: * Fixed UI issue introduced in 3.0.13 that affected the deletion of IPsec tunnels * Reduced Pre-Shared Key (PSK) length requirement to 1 for compatibility with other products ** It is recommended to use a PSK with a minimum of 16 randomly generated characters or more * Added ability through UI to set phase 1 and phase 2 specific algorithms * Added NAT-T and Aggressive mode options RF Survey Utility: * Performs a scan of cellular providers and displays frequency, SNR, signal level, and tower ID * Not available for C2 and EV3 models SMS: * Added the ability to send and receive SMS via UI and API * Specify number of resend attempts for SMS messages that failed to be sent * Added support for carrier backoff requirements * Not available for C2 and EV3 models SMTP: * Added the abilility to register and send emails through a remote SMTP server ** API has ability to send emails Serial-to-IP: * Added SSL/TLS option to TCP endpoints Certificate Management: * Added ability to create and upload security certificates * Certificates are now preserved when device is reset to factory defaults * Certificates that have been autogenerated now have a 30 year expiration date Telnet Radio Access: * Fixed issue where Telnet server would hang onto a dead peer connection and not allow any reconnects or new connections. This fix uses TCP keepalive with adjustable parameters from the UI/API. WAN Failover: * Added the ability to failover and fallback between WiFi and Cellular ** Each WAN can be configured to use an active ping check or a passive check. ** WAN priority is configurable WiFi Access Point: * Improved stability and performance. * Allows up to 8 clients. Configurable through API. Default max clients is 5. Bluetooth: * Fixed reconnect issue that required a character to be sent from the client before the bidirectional link would re-establish * Fixed reconnect issue that disabled character echo on bluetooth side * Fixed stats tracking issue on web UI Remote Management: * Fixed issue of passing the remote management client's check-in interval value to the API. This also affected the UI's 'Next Check-In' value. DHCP: * Added ability to delete current DHCP leases DDNS: * Updated DDNS feature for bug fixes and to support more DDNS services Statistics: * Added the ability to save tx/rx byte count history per network interface * Added graphical charts to display network interface history API: * Fixed issue where 'timeout' option was ignored for api/command/radio_cmd * Fixed issue where api/stats/wlan/link would return inconsistent types depending on the state of the link.
