If the firmware upgrade fails, or it does not show the login page again, wait an additional 5 minutes. Power off and on the MTR and web to the MTR to check the version. If the version does not show the latest, then the upgrade was not successful. Try to perform the firmware upgrade again by repeating all the steps. 1) Save the firmware binary file to a directory on your workstation 2) Using the workstation browser, enter the IP address of the MTR (i.e. http://192.168.2.1). 3) Login as admin and enter the admin password. 4) Click "Administration" tab on left side menu bar 5) Click "Save/Restore" 6) Click "Save Configuration to File" to save a backup file. A popup window will appear 7) Select "Save File" and click "OK" button 8) Now click "Firmware Upgrade" tab on left side menu 9) Click the Browse button and select the latest version of BIN file, rcell-mtr-upgrade_3.4.2.bin or rcell-mtrv1-upgrade_3.4.2.bin 10) Click the "Start Upgrade" button. 11) Wait for the unit to upgrade and reboot automatically. 12) Again, browse to the IP address and verify the Main or Home page indicates the correct version, 3.4.2. **************************************************** * Engineering Release Notes for Customer * **************************************************** ------------------------------------------------------------ MTR SW 3.4.2 - April 15th, 2016 ------------------------------------------------------------ Changes made since release 3.3.2: Bug Fixes: * For LVW2, special characters like @ $ not sending through sms properly * Fix restart via WAN redirects to LAN * Do not allow SMS and wake-on-sms to be enabled at the same time on CDMA radios * MTR-C2 MEID may display as hex or decimal (now always hex) * Notify user when downloading a configuration with pending changes * Fix wakeup on call hover help * Fix: Able to create two tunnels with the same end points and LAN networks * Fix: Tunnel must not be allowed configuration if Remote LAN is equal to Local * Fix: Deleting Cellular History illuminates Save and Restart button * Fix: Serial Port as client will not reset a broken TCP connection when ALWAYS ON is set for Connect/Disconnect Method * Fix: Missing Button Status & Logs | Statistics GRE Tab * Fix: Serial Port UDP client - DTR Assert not working in some situations * Fix: Serial-IP Config - UI issue with connection termination Features/Enhancements: * Notifications (email and SMS) for Data Usage, Reboot, Signal Strength * Upload System Logs to DeviceHQ * SMS Commands (reboot & check-in to DeviceHQ) * Serial Modem Mode * Added SMS support for all CDMA radio models including C2, EV3 and LVW2 * Remove Firewall restriction where multiple rules have same destination port and interface * Removed menu link for Initial Setup Wizard. A factory default is now required to change between modes (Router, PPP IP Passthrough, Serial Modem Mode) * Updated built in help content Known Issues: * Serial Modem Mode: * In Serial Modem Mode, there is a known issue with data loss when using the AT+FTP command. * In Serial Modem Mode, the DCD and DSR do not work properly. The CD LED may not reflect the DCD correctly. * Wake-On-SMS: On the LVW2 model, wake-on-sms may not work the first time after boot.
