 1. Clear any stored parameters from memory by typing AT&W1Z using a
terminal program such as Windows Terminal or HyperTerminal. If you
do not store parameters to your modem for a special purpose you do not
    need to perform this step.

 2. Copy all files contained within the firmware ZIP file to a temporary
    directory on your hard drive.

 3. Go to the Windows Program Manager and select File-Run and then select
Browse to find FLASHWIN.EXE in the temporary directory. If you are
using Windows 95, click the Start button, choose "Run..." and Browse
    to find the FLASHWIN.EXE program.

 4. After the program opens it will allow you to select the Com port your modem
is on and the speed your programing at. Once the selections are made browse
to find the firmware HEX file you will use to update your modem.

**Note: Do not select the FLASHLDR.HEX file. The FLASHLDR.HEX file is
used internally by the flashing program. Instead, be sure to choose the
firmware HEX file that you intend to flash your modem with.

 5. When all the selections are verified click the button "Perform Flash" to
    load the firmware.

 6. Once the Loading Status reaches 100% the modem has been upgraded and you
    may close the program.
