MT56128ZLX-ST/NT Version 3.0 Installation Procedure

Version 3.0 supports both Windows 95 and Windows 98.

Note: When installing in Windows 95 make sure you have the ISDN Accelerator Pack or DUN 1.2 installed prior to installing the card, the ISDN Accelerator Pack is provided on the NDIS diskette.

1. If you don't have a previous version of the drivers loaded please skip to step #8.

2. Before updating the drivers to version 3.0 you must flash new V.90 firmware to the
modem. The code and a flash loader are located in the FLASHWIN directory. You must first
change the COM port of the modem to be 1-4 to use with Flashwin program. To change port
settings use the ISDN-TA Configuration Utility.

3. After flashing the modem, you should uninstall the previous drivers.

4. First go to the ISDN-TA Configuration Utility and select the uninstall option from the
menu bar. Now shut down your system when it prompts you and remove the MT56128ZLX card.

5. Reboot the system without the card and go to the Windows\Inf\Other directory and delete the MultiMobile *.inf file.

6. The uninstall procedure will leave a few phantom keys in the windows registry. These do not
normally need to be removed unless you encounter problems with the new installation.

7. If you do need to edit your registry, we suggest you make a backup and then proceed as follows:
	A. Go to Start, Run and type in Regedit.
	B. From the menu bar select edit => find and search for "MT56128" and delete any Key
that has this entry in it.
	C. Close Regedit.

8. Insert the MT56128ZLX PC card. Windows should detect the new device and ask for drivers provided by the manufacturer. First, insert the disk labeled NDIS, then Windows will prompt for
the VCOMM and CAPI disks in that order.

9. After the drivers have been successfully loaded, insert the disk labled Setup; this will install the Configuration Utility, Line Status, and Terminal programs.

Version 3.0 Windows NT 4.0 CAPI Driver Install.

1. Insert the MT56128ZLX into the PCMCIA socket, then go to Start => Control Panel => PC Card ( PCMCIA ) and note down the resources that NT has allocated, ( I/O range, IRQ, Memory range ).

2. Next go to Start => Control Panel => Network and select the Adapter Tab and select Add => Have Disk and insert the NT diskette.

3. A properties screen will appear; enter the resource settings you recorded in step 1 and then your ISDN settings.

4. After the drivers are installed NT will want to reboot to finish the installation.

*** NOTE: These CAPI NT Drivers rely on an CAPI 2.0 Application in order to work, such an application for example is RVS-COM.
