Installation instructions for MultiVOIP 210-AV/410-AV/810-AV software vs 9.06.D3 MultiVOIP's Uninstall Solution Product Update PN: 82010180 Rev. A 02/16/04 Before uninstalling any old versions of MultiVOIP software, install the new MultiVOIP Software provided for this readme. Changes in MVP210/410/810-AV release 9.06.D3 Interoperability New Feature: 1. With the general availability of the new ACM 2.1.1 release (September 7, 2004), the ACM server is capable of managing T.38 fax calls to/from analog devices connected to MultiVOIP station ports. Customers may now start using this feature which has already been certified with release 9.06BD or higher. Changes since 9.06.BD 1. Allows 4610SW and 4620SW IP phones to register and authenticate properly with the MultiVOIP gatekeeper in survivable mode. These phone models must be running 2.1.1 firmware or higher. 2. Fixes a problem where two or more concurrent FXO trunk calls that were incoming to legacy analog/DCP stations on the headquarters PBX could not be completed when running ACM 2.1 or higher. 3. Fixes a problem (observed at one customer) wherein the IP phone sends a nonStandard RAS message and hangs waiting for a correct response. On the multivoip gatkeeper endpoint screen, the ip phones will appear to be registered, however the phones display will not be in its normal state or apearance, characterized as "phone goes to sleep". Pending issues: 1. Model 4620 phones must use firmware version 1.8x for survivability to work properly. If using firmware version 2.1 or 2.1.1, these phones will do a gatekeeper discovery after each survivable mode call and be unavailable for making the next consecutive call until the discovery and re-registration has completed (estimated at least to be 15 seconds). 2. 4620 (non-SW) phones need to be running 1.8x firmware for survivability to work properly. 4620 phones running 2.1 or higher will do a gatekeeper discovery at the completion of each call in survivable mode causing them to be unavailable for 15 to 20 seconds. The customer can run 2.1 if this behavior does not bother them. In summary, you will need to upgrade both the IP phones for models 4610SW and 4620SW. If you have any model 4620 sets, I would advise that you: a) Leave these set to firmware load 1.8.2. b) On the Model 4620 sets, set the TFTP server address to "0.0.0.0" so that they do not attempt to upgrade to the R2.1.1 firmware that the "SW" models are using. c) Load R2.1.1 firmware for the 46xxSW IP phones on your local TFTP server.
