MultiVOIP Firmware v6.11.22 This firmware is for models MVP210/410/810. The firmware contains fixes for Web Interface compatibility issues with Java 6 Update 12 and later versions. Installation instructions for MultiVOIP 210/410/810 software vs 6.11 MultiVOIP's Uninstall Solution Product Update PN: 82010180 Rev. A 02/16/04 Before uninstalling any old versions of MultiVOIP software, install the new MultiVOIP Software provided for this readme. 1. Run "MultiVOIP configuration" from your old version of MultiVOIP software and take note of the current settings. 2. Unzip the 6.11.22-11-Jun-09.zip. 3. In the folder that you unzipped the file, go to the folder \disk1 and run setup.exe to install the software to the pc. If a version of MultiVOIP 6.11 Software already exists on the PC, you will be prompted to uninstall the previous version, re-run the setup.exe afterwards to install the newer version of 6.11. Accept the default installation folder and program group name. When prompted, select the comm. port that you will use with the MultiVOIP. Click "No" when asked if you would like to run configuration. 4. Connect the MVP210/410/810 to the PC comm. port and power it on. When the boot light is off, go to step 5. 5. Run Start->Programs->MultiVOIP 6.11->Upgrade Software. The voip will respond with "upgrade will reboot the multivoip" Click OK. Next you will be prompted with a choice to retain the current settings or download factory defaults. Select the appropriate option and then click OK. The firmware will take a few minutes to load. When the boot light goes out, the firmware loading has finished. 6. Run Start->Programs->MultiVOIP 6.11->Configuration and configure the MultiVOIP for your application. If you chose retain current settings in step 5, you should only have to review your settings. 7. If not already uninstalled in step 3, uninstall your old version of MultiVOIP software by selecting the "Uninstall" option from the program group. 8. The upgrade is complete. FTP upgrade instructions. 1. Determine the version of firmware which is currently running on your MultiVoIP. This can be obtained by looking under configuration/system information, via the GUI or WEB/Java. 2. Unzip the 6.11.22-11-Jun-09.zip. 3. WEB/Java to the MultiVoIP and check configuration/system information and confirm firmware version as 6.11.22. Note: The firmware version may display as 6.07.22 or 6.06.22 instead of 6.11.22 when FTP is performed, this is OK, .22 is the identifier. Or 5a. If version x.04 or earlier, ftp the file "mvpt1ftp.bin" from the link ftp://ftp.multitech.com/engineering/unofficial-releases/MultiVOIP/NGAV/javafixes/smooth%20file%20for%20ftp%20upgrade/mvpt1ftp.bin. 5b. Then ftp file "mvpt1ftp.bin" from C:\Program Files\Multi-Tech Systems\MultiVOIP 6.11. 5c. WEB/Java to the MultiVoIP and check configuration/system information and confirm firmware version as 6.11.13. Note: The firmware version may display as 6.07.22 or 6.06.22 instead of 6.11.22 when FTP is performed, this is OK, .22 is the identifier. Note: You will be able to manage and configure the voip with WEB interface using a Java plug in for the browser.
