Start your PC, and wait until the OS boots completely. Insert the MT10100ZLC Fast Ethernet Installation diskette into drive A. 2. Click Start/Run on left-bottom corner and type A:Setup. Insert the MT10100ZLC Fast Ethernet into an available PC Card slot in your PC. 3. "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box should appear and the PCI Ethernet Controller will be detected automatically, then the Windows displays the message "Ethernet Controller" 4. Click the Next button in the Add New Hardware Wizard window. Windowswill start to search floppy drive A: for network driver. 5. Click Yes button, then the Windows starts to copy the MT10100ZLC Fast Ethernet driver to the user's hard disk. 6. Click Finish button and Restart your computer. Troubleshooting: S1: If the card installed with another manufacturer's name, you will need to remove that driver. Go to NetWork Neighborhood, (My Network Places), right click on properties, select the the PCMCIA card and then select Remove. You will need to reboot, don't. Shut down the laptop. Remove the card. Boot the laptop, Run Setup.bat from the driver disk or folder the files are in. Insert the card and follow from Step 3 above. S2: If you can't go above 10Meg and you are on a known 100Meg network, Check your driver setting to be sure it's on Autosense, or any of the 100Meg options. S3: If the card still fails to install, and you checked all steps above, then make sure your laptop supports 32 bit Card Bus. It must be a 32 bit Card Bus. There are "Card Bus Ready" laptops that are usually only 16 bit. The card may not function in "Card Bus Ready" or 16 bit slots. You may only get 10 Meg data rates also if used in 16 bit or "Card Bus Ready" slots.
