UPLOADING MULTIVOIP PHONE BOOK VIA FTP USING THIRD-PARTY FTP SOFTWARE 1. You will need at least a user name configured on the MultiVOIP in order to upgrade remotely. User name and/or password can be configured using the Set Password utility included with the MultiVOIP 1.05 serial configuration software or by selecting Change Password from the web interface. The user name & password must be at least 5 characters. Note: the serial software will let you configure a user name only by leaving both the Password and Confirm Password boxes blank. With the web interface, you must configure both a user name and password and then save and reboot the voip in order for the change to take effect. 2. Use ftp client software (WS-FTP, Cute FTP, etc) to access the remote MultiVOIP you wish to upload the phone book to. 3. Once connected, browse to the directory on your computer that contains the InPhBk.tmr phone book file you wish to upload. 4. Upload the saved InPhBk.tmr file located in this directory to the remote MultiVOIP (how this is done will vary, depending on which FTP client software you are using). 5. After the upload is finished, the MultiVOIP will reboot itself. Once the MultiVOIP boot light goes out, enter configuration and the verify the Outbound Phone Book is updated. UPLOADING MULTIVOIP PHONE BOOK VIA FTP USING WINDOWS BUILT-IN COMMAND LINE FTP 1. You will need at least a user name configured on the MultiVOIP in order to upgrade remotely. User name and/or password can be configured using the Set Password utility included with the MultiVOIP 1.05 serial configuration software or by selecting Change Password from the web interface. The user name & password must be at least 5 characters. Note: the serial software will let you configure a user name only by leaving both the Password and Confirm Password boxes blank. Shell out to DOS/Command prompt and change to the directory that contains the saved InPhBk.tmr file. 4. Type ftp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the MultiVOIP you want to upgrade) and press . 5. Type the user name you configured in step 1 above to login to the MultiVOIP and press . If you did not also configure a password in step 1 above, this will get you logged into the MultiVOIP. If you did also configure a password in step 1 above, you must type this and press to get fully logged in. 6. Once logged in, type bin and press . 7. Once logged in, type hash and press . 7. Type "put inphbk.tmr" (without quotes) and press to upload the phone book file to the MultiVOIP. Once the file has been uploaded, you will receive notification that the file has been successfully transferred. Wait a few minutes after receiving this notification to give the voip time to reboot itself. 9. Once the MultiVOIP boot light goes out, enter configuration and the verify the Inbound Phone Book is updated.
